Monday, July 11th, 2011

Have you heard?  There’s a new iPhone coming sometime soon!  But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy an iPhone 4, as according to Apple they’re still really great provided you’ve got friends with iPhones or iPads, or an Apple TV.  At least, that’s the message sent by this pair of new TV spots for the

Friday, July 8th, 2011

Nintendo like doing things their own way, and unlike some of their competitors – Sega for example – they’ve never embraced other company’s platforms, steadfastly refusing to launch the likes of a Mario game on any other system.  It’s admirable in a way, as it would almost certainly make them a fortune. However, with the rise

Why a Q4 iPhone 5 Release is a Strategic Win for Apple

Monday, June 20th, 2011

The final quarter of 2011 is all set to play host to the greatest smartphone showdown we’ve seen yet.  Apple’s decision to delay the new iPhone until around the beginning of September – for announcement at least – ensures it’s going to do battle with not one but two of its competitors. Apple’s Ad Team Get Their Mojo Back with ‘Now’, the Latest iPad 2 Spot

Saturday, June 18th, 2011

The last few iPad and iPhone TV commercials haven’t hit the spot for me.  I didn’t like the ‘If you don’t have an iPhone…‘ spots at all, and the ‘We believe‘ iPad 2 ads didn’t do much for me either.  The last ‘If you asked…‘ iPad 2 TV ad was better, but still a little

Buy An Unlocked iPhone 4 in the USA Now, If You Really Want too…

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

Buying an unlocked phone, whether it’s an iPhone or not, is the best way to go – every time.  Locking yourself into a 12-24 month contract means you end up paying a lot more for the phone over time, and makes it difficult to upgrade when you want to.  It’s relatively standard practice to be

iCloud not yet available for Verizon iPhone

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

A little wait for Verizon iPhone customers yet again! A few days ago, Apple officially announced the beta release of its new iCloud cloud-storage service at the WWDC 2011 Keynote.  The iCloud will give almost instant access to your  music , apps, latest photos, and more. The iCloud service is free and has already launched in developer beta today. While the beta version of Apple’s new iCloud became available almost instantly, many iPhone owners were able to get hold of the iCloud on any iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, PC, and their iPhones with the latest version of Apple’s software. AT&T iPhone customers had got the latest version of the iPhone software in March along with three minor updates running on iOS version 4.3.3 now. However, Verizon iPhone customers have yet to get the latest version of the iPhone software- as they are still running on version 4.2.8. As of now, it is not clear why Verizon customers are left behind with this delay.  But for Verizon customers with the iPhone 4, you’ll have to wait at least for a while before getting a hold of the iCloud. The official Version of the iCloud, cloud-storage service will be releasing this fall.
