The second annual IPA Mobile Art Grant is open for submissions on iPhoneArt.com. The IPA Grant, now in its second year, is the only international grant program specifically designed to provide financial support for mobile artists emerging at the top of their field.This year, IPA introduces Jane Deering as Lead Juror. Jane Deering Gallery has been curating and presenting contemporary art by well established and emerging artists from the US and Europe for the past decade. Artists from the UK and Ireland are shown in collaboration with Purdy Hicks Gallery of London . I Won’t Fall is Optimistic but Wishful Thinking in New iPhone Game

A relentlessly determined momma bird is the star of a new, and as of yet, mostly unnoticed indie game release in the App Store. Aptly titled “ I Won’t Fall ,” this game is simple but nimble and features the determined efforts of one mother bird who must traverse dangerous sky-high terrain in order to reunite with her bereft baby birds. Players control the timing of momma bird’s horizontal navigation from block to block with a tap of the screen, but in most environments timing is everything.
