Friday, May 6th, 2011

Winner, winner chicken dinner. Yes, that’s a Black Jack term and a bad one at that, but what I’m reviewing here is the good old Texas Hold’em Poker app from Viaden Mobile. Be it the three months I lived in Las Vegas in first grade or the multiple “Vegas, baby, Vegas” trips I’ve taken over Continue reading Texas Hold’em Poker Takes Amateurs to Hold’em Superstars or visit our website for more great iphone apps .

True Armchair Racing Coming with DrawRace 2?

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

I love casual racers such as Reckless Racing and Death Rally, plus more serious entries such as Real Racing and the Asphalt series, but true motorsport can be as much about precision and control as it is about mashing the accelerator into the carpet.  Therefore when I saw the DrawRace 2 trailer today, it got

Gaming Controls + Electronic Music Creation = OscilloScoop

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

If you’re into electronic music and its creation, but also like new and innovative music apps, then OscilloScoop should catch your attention.  Created by Scott Snibbe and Lukas Girling, the intention behind the app was to incorporate the same control techniques used by a gamer, and put them into real-time music creation. They’ve done this by

iPhone 5 Release Date Not in June or July, According to an AT&T Rep is Just a Rumor

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

The only reason I make this post is because it’s getting a lot of attention around the web. A post on Mac Rumors is stating that one of their members e-mailed them telling them that an AT&T representative told them that there won’t be an iPhone 5 Release Date in June or July. Here is the exact quote: Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone. We will release this information on our website when it is available to us.

iOS 4.3.3 Doesn’t Fix Untethered Jailbreak

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

The iOS 4.3.3 software update Apple recently released does not fix the untethered jailbreak exploit used in iPhone hacker, i0n1c’s jailbreak. This has been confirmed by iPhone Dev Team member @comex . This means that users can still jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 untethered, although no iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak is out yet because the iPhone hackers will need to update their jailbreak software to support it. Jailbreak users can expect redsn0w or some other jailbreak software to be updated to support iOS 4.3.3 in the near future. As of right now jailbreak users can still jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 using the current version of redsn0w, but the jailbreak is tethered which means they will need to keep jailbreaking every time they reboot their iOS device. If you are a jailbreak user our advice is not to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 until an untethered iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak is released! Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

Apple released the iOS 4.3.3 software update today, iPhone 4 (GSM model), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), and iPod touch (3rd generation) just like they had promised . This update was released due to a bug in Apple’s location tracking system which saved locations in the cache whenever iTunes was synced. The following changes have been made to iOS 4.3.3: Reduces the size of the cache No longer backs the cache up to iTunes Deletes the cache entirely when Location Services is turned off iOS users can update their iOS Device to iOS 4.3.3 through iTunes. Apple also plans to encrypt the cache in their next major iOS update, which is iOS 5.0. [Source: Apple - iOS 4.3.3 Software Update ]

iOS 4.3.3 Released, Includes Location Tracking Fixes

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

The rumor only appeared the other day and when it did, the suggestion was we’d have to wait a couple of weeks for the release of iOS 4.3.3, but guess what, if you sync your device with iTunes right now, it’s ready for download. Like the two previous iOS 4.3 updates, this has no new features
