iPad 2 Isn’t Delayed, Now Expected to Launch March 2nd

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

This is why I hate reporting rumors.  I try not to cover too many because once you’re on the merry-go-round, it’s hard to get off, and all too often you end up in a situation like this one; where mere hours ago, the iPad 2 was rumored to be delayed until June, but now is

If you’re a hardened iPhone game player, you’ll no doubt know Labyrinth, the accelerometer controlled take on the classic game, where you roll a ball around a maze avoiding the traps.  Super Ball Escape takes that concept and transfers it to a sci-fi setting, where you play a robotic ball trying to escape from a

There are reports that the iPad 2 has been delayed due to a last-minute design change, prompting speculation as to what this change could be.  One of the suggestions was the addition of Light Peak, a cable technology that just may be finding its way onto MacBooks in the near future too. But what is Light

Bloomberg’s sources on the matter, analysts from Yuanta Securities, say that some last minute design

Showdown! Comparing the Verizon iPhone vs. the AT&T iPhone

Monday, February 21st, 2011

The promise of an iPhone that no longer drops calls may be tempting many AT&T customers to switch over to Verizon. But is the grass really greener? It depends. There are many indications the Verizon iPhone offers superior connectivity and far less dropped calls than its AT&T counterpart. However, other studies show that AT&T has faster downloads and is throwing free minutes at existing customers in an effort to keep them. Deciding which way to go is not a clear-cut decision as there are many factors impacting each phone’s performance. Read the rest of Showdown! iPhone 4 Wins Best Mobile Device Award in Mobile World Congress 2011

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

During the annual Mobile World Congress 2011, the iPhone 4 won the “Best Mobile Device” award. Apple wasn’t present at the Mobile World Congress because they always hold their own annual event during June so it was surprising to see them receive any award at all. The iPhone 4 was definitely a great mobile device, and now that it’s available on Verizon it’s going to be even more successful and better for consumers. The judges comments for the iPhone 4: Great screen, sharp design, fantastic materials, and phenomenal ecosystem for app developers. In a tight race, the iPhone 4 built on the success of its predecessors to set the pace for smart phones. I’d have to agree with what the judges said. I really hope that Apple introduces some revolutionary new features on the next iPhone (iPhone 5) which they will announce this year in June 2011. With all the Android phones coming out, iPhone is starting to look like a boring phone. A new iPhone design would be nice for a change.
