Apple iPhone Future Predictions - Part 1

Please comment and add your own predictions. How many will happen? Place your bets!
We will continue to add to this post and see if the predictions become a reality.
(1) Who ever owns a cell phone has dropped it at least once. You put your cell phone on your lap while driving and when you get out of your car it hits the ground. If that hasn’t occurred to you maybe you have dropped it in the toilet on accident or maybe your pet has chewed on your cell phone like a toy. Does apple cover this type of damage? Yes, if the glass is broken and you must have the extended warranty. The iPhone is one of the hottest products this year and we all know that this product will be on backorder and likely your glass repair and/or replacement will take weeks.
PREDICTION: Your first scratch will annoy you. If you have to repair or replace your iPhone you likely will wait weeks. Consumers will be very expressive and vocal and I could see some bad PR. A solution will be for iPhone next-gen phones to have an alternative surface instead of glass.
(2) You will always need two hands to operate the iPhone. You will need one hand to hold the iPhone and one to press the buttons. Standard cell phones are small enough to enter phone numbers or text messages with just one hand. I don’t recommend trying to use the iPhone while driving.
PREDICTION: Not a prediction but just an observation.
(3) Multi-touch interfaces from Apple (iPhone) and Microsoft (Surface) are becoming very popular buzz words. Every wonder about bacteria/germs? The iPhone glass surface will collect all types of bacteria. Your hands touch practically everything at work, stores, or greeting friends and family. Imagine leaving a restaurant and touching the door handle and using your new iPhone to make a call right after. We all know that some individuals don’t always wash their hands before leaving the restroom because we are in a fast pace world. Then you can add every day face grease and grease from whoever borrows your iPhone.
PREDICTION: Spreading of colds and infections will increase for the iPhone owner or Apple will have a antibacterial cleaner for your iPhone for just $19.99.
(4) It doesn’t support Adobe (Macromedia) Flash which will be an issue when browsing the web or flash based applications/widgets.
PREDICTION: Adobe (Macromedia) Flash will be supported in the coming months for the iPhone. Apple and YouTube partnership is the only support for video flash.
(5) Consumers will continue to talk about the keyboard experience. Practice. Practice. Practice. It’s just like learning how to ride a bike. When you got you just got it.
PREDICTION: More discussions/postings/PR over the initial keyboard learning curve. Maybe some lawsuits if you have oversized fingers and can’t operate your new iPhone.
More predictions to come….
